Finally summer arrived and everything is in green again. Took a trip into nature today to shoot some pictures. Here’s the first part of it.. some flowers.
I really do like poppy seeds. The bright red and shiny almost satin-like surface of their leaves is just brilliant. The other one is a random purple flower that grew on the same field as the poppy seeds did. Dunno the name of ‘em though - if you do, don’t mind and shoot me a message. I’d like to know.
What do butterflies and swans have in common..? Well, they both share the wonderful ability to fly.
And that’s the topic of my picture submissions today. Wings, wings and wings again. 2 insects and one bird but each of them can do what man dreams of within living memory. What would you give to be able to fly without any devices, just by opening your wings..? I’d definitely sell my soul to the devil!
Anyway.. like I said, 3 pictures today:
A butterfly that decided to land on my finger one night - a truly amazing experience. I guess he was a bit dizzy already since it was night, so he didn’t even realize he settled down on me instead of a tree or something.
A moth that chose my blind as sleeping place and a swan on the Schwentine river in Kiel/Germany.

Some more pictures from St. Peter-Ording beach. It’s such a nice place to be and I can’t wait for this summer to begin to finally chill there in the sun again.
For everyone who might wanna check out this awesome beach on his/her own I can recommend the official website of St. Peter-Ording for info. Definitely worth a visit and maybe we meet each other in the dunes this summer..
So, now my pictures:

Alrighty, let’s begin with the essential.
Three pictures for the start here. Two being shot at St. Peter-Ording beach and one in my hometown Norderstedt.
St. Peter-Ording is a little town on the North Sea coast of Germany. The town itself isn’t that beautiful.. it’s a typical seaside resort and consists mostly of apartments and houses for tourists. Nothing really special - but the beach is! It’s one of Germany’s biggest beaches and at some points almost 2km wide from the edge of the dunes to the sea.. depending on the tides. Defenitely worth a visit!
Norderstedt - my hometown - is a medium-size town in Northern Germany and part of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. Not beautiful, but due to the fact that you can reach the inner city of Hamburg within only 40 mins by subway and the countryside within 20 mins by bicycle it’s still a nice place to live.
